A unique place on the Elba Island

Luigi and Mimma discovered Seccione during a journey in the summer 1954. The breath-taking view of this wild bay made them fall in love with it and they decided not to leave anymore.
To preserve the natural heritage of this place, during their life they acquired step by step from the farmers the dwellings, the vineyards on the seashore, the olive groves and the Mediterranean scrub land.

Thanks to this singular blend of nature and the work of man, who modelled the coast with the terraces, Seccione has been worth to be included in the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago since 1996.
Today, our family continues to lead the property with the same love and respect for this magical atmosphere.

The land is spread over a stretch of steep coast, characterized by numerous terraces crossed by paths and stairs paved with local stone.

Walking along these paths you can catch the poetry of Seccione: breathtaking views of the open sea, strips of island land, the view of the mythical Scoglietto and, through the coastal bush, you reach the houses, the large sea water swimming pool, the sandy belvedere terrace and a staircase, which allows direct access to the sea.

A place to rest between sea and countryside

In the property, which extends for three hectares along the coast, between the scrub of pines and holm oaks there are two ancient farmhouses, a rustic outbuilding and the Villa where the family lives, all restored with sober elegance.

SECCIONE 1954 – practical information

Two flats, a house and a studio, elegantly and soberly decorated, set in 3 hectares of natural park.

Enjoy a direct access to the sea and the peace and quiet of the countryside: each flat offers a sea view, a private outdoor relaxation area and a car park located on the estate.

Common areas include access to the large swimming pool, the belvedere with deckchairs and sun loungers, and private access to the sea (rocks, pebbles). From the estate you can also reach the public beach of “Prunini” (pebbles and sand) in a few minutes.

The town of Portoferraio is 2.5 km away with its tourist port, charming shops and all the necessary services and amenities. Most ferries connect Portoferraio to the town of Piombino on the mainland.
